Taste of Cavan 2018, which takes place on 10th and 11th August this year, features lots more opportunities to learn from the best in the business, with the return of the Cook Along With Neven masterclass, in association with Dunnes Stores Simply Better, alongside 'Cooking for College' with Chef Adrian, Cake Decorating with Chef Shane Smith, and Food and Wine matching with Wines Direct, The Oak Room and People's Restaurant.

Following the success of last year's 'Cook Along' this year, Taste of Cavan is offering even more opportunities to cook alongside Ireland's best-loved chef, using fantastic ingredients from the Dunnes Stores Simply Better Range.
This year, there will be a two-person Cook Along, ideal for couples, friends or family members, and a special parent and child cook along, for parents and children under the age of 16. What better way to encourage a lifetime of eating well than gaining inspiration from the maestro? A fee of €10 per person applies to this class.

Cooking for College with Chef Adrian
Known to Irish audiences for his 'Fakeaway' series on RTÉ and the associated cookbook, Chef Adrian Martin is on a mission to get young people eating well and consign the image of students living off Pot Noodles to history. These relaxed masterclasses, in association with Manor Farm & Margaret’s Eggs, will teach students and school-leavers how to cook quick, affordable and, most of all - tasty - meals that will fuel their college pursuits. Participation is free but must be booked in advance.

Cake Decorating with Chef Shane Smith
TV3's Shane Smith has elevated pastry to an art form. His creations look so good, it's a shame to eat them, but eat them you will! In this fun, free masterclass, Shane will show children & their parent/guardian how to create a fantastic melting cone gateau that looks as good as it tastes.

Food and Wine matching with Wines Direct, The Oak Room, and People's Restaurant
Is your favourite grape 'red'? Do you live in terror of 'terroir'? Wines Direct is teaming up with top Cavan eateries, The Oak Room and People's Restaurant to deliver two fantastic food and wine matching masterclasses that will teach you to tell your Merlot from your Malbec! Participants in this masterclass will enjoy three taster dishes from The Oak Room or People's that will elevate the specially-paired wines to new heights!
