About Niamh Lynn
Originally from Castleknock in Dublin and now living in Co.Cavan, Niamh Lynn has stamped her place in Country Music with her show, A Tribute to the Classic Ladies of Country which features the Music of classic female country singers of all time like Patsy Cline , Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn and Billie Joe Spears.
Niamh’s 1950’s classic swing dress style, which is what she is known for, has had a big influence on her creatively not only in her singing but in her song writing too.
Since being on the country scene Niamh has reached over 7 million hits on You Tube for her take on Billie joe Spears ‘Sing Me An Old Fashioned Song’ which was her first release from her debut Album An Old Fashioned Song Which hit #1 in the Irish Country iTunes chart and #7 in the main stream iTunes chart. She has had four #1’s from this album and is at present started recording on her 2nd album due out later this year. Niamh has made several appearances on national TV like The Late Late Show performing a long side some of Irelands biggest Country stars and was described by Ryan Tubrity as the Imelda May of country. Near the end of 2018 Niamh was offered the opportunity of presenting her own TV show on ‘Keep It Country TV’ now known as Spotlight TV. The show is called Niamh Lynn’s Music Mix, which features some of Niamh favourite songs and artists of all time.
Niamh has in the past supported such artist’s like Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Dion Pride and has appeared on Opry Le Daniel twice once as a featured artist a long side John McNichol and as a guest in a tribute to Loretta Lynn where she took to the stage with Daniel O’Donnell, Louise Morrissey Tayla Lynn (Loretta’s Granddaughter) and Leona Williams. She has travelled around Europe performing at many country festivals one of which was as a support act for Grammy award winning Emmy Lou Harris in the 2016 Rendezvous Festival, Lyon, in France. Niamh has been put on the bill for some big shows in both Ireland England and Scotland and has appeared at the Glyngore Country festival in Denmark July just gone.
