Visitors to Taste of Cavan 2019 will get a taste of the latest fashion and wellness trends in new additions to the hugely popular food festival.

This year’s event boasts two new additions, with a Health and Wellbeing Village promoting healthy lifestyle choices, and a Taste of Cavan Fashion Show with MC Noel Cunningham featuring the very best in Autumn-Winter 2019 style.

The Health and Wellbeing Village, which will be located in Arena 3, will feature numerous activities, exhibitions, Tree Frog Yoga, Bailieborough Creative Hub, Holistic Gardens Shercock, Cavan Men’s Shed, Ballyconnell Cottage Market, Marie Keating Foundation, and talks by Sylvia Sexton, Miffy Hoad, Ruth O’Dowd more.

A highlight of the Health and Wellbeing Village programme will see Tom Coleman, Leading Consultant on Health & Wellness will give a talk at 4:30pm on Saturday. Tom is the Co-Founder & CEO of My Nutrition Ireland and works with blue chip corporate clients and elite athletes from around the world, including Conor McGregor and many Irish rugby internationals.

 

Saturday, 10th August will see the catwalk alive with colour and style for the first ever Taste of Cavan Fashion Show, featuring stylish offerings from boutiques including Sally West, Infinitif, DT One, Vanilla, Pretty Patterns, and The Purple Orange. Fashion Shows will take place from 1pm-2pm and 3pm-4pm on Saturday afternoon, with guest MC Noel Cunningham, Virgin Media TV’s stylish showbiz guru.

Speaking ahead of the festival, Noel Cunningham said he was looking forward to Taste of Cavan.

 

“Food festivals have become a huge part of the festival landscape and Cavan has certainly in recent times really pulled out all the stops to create one of the best food Festivals in Ireland,” said the Harvey’s Point empresario.

 

“Towns like Cavan, like all country areas, need such events to promote their produce, enhance their tourism offering and draw more people to their town. They are doing a wonderful job in all these areas. I am so looking forward to being a small part of this great community endeavour,” he added.

 

Taste of Cavan event co-ordinator Angela Reilly explained that the new additions to the programme make Taste of Cavan the perfect family day out. “We really do have something for everyone at Taste of Cavan this year, from food and drink, to wellness and fashion, not to mention lots of fun activities for the kids. Make sure you come early because there’s so much to see, do and taste!”
